I would like to take this opportunity to thank all owners of Handaros kittens.  Our babies are raised with lots of love and TLC and it is good to know that this continues in their forever loving homes.

Kittens born 10th April 2006

No in Litter = 6

Weights = from 135g to 162g

Number of surviving kittens = 2

History =  Purrdy's pregnancy passed with no problems and she adored being pregnant.  Her delivery was reasonably easy, although her second baby was breech she handled it all perfectly.  Sadly,  at 9 days post delivery Purrdy was rushed to the vets with a womb infection.  Our vet warned us she may not survive, luckily for us she did.  Shortly after she returned home Purrdy developed mastitis possibly as a result of her emergency spay.  She needed to have a mammary gland removed.  Unfortunately, the toxins circulating in Purrdys body due to the infection had been passed through her milk in the initial few days and this resulted in us losing 4 of her babies.  We and our vet did everything we could possibly do and we prepared ourselves to lose the whole litter.  Miraculously two of the babies survived.

Handaros There Can Be Only One aka Yoda

Yoda is a beautiful black with white male owned by Dave.  He is full of purrsonality and completely rules the roost in his new home.  Having hand reared Yoda we were very sad to see him go, but are secure in the knowledge that he has a fabulous home with Dave.  Living with our daughters boyfriend also means we all get to see Yoda & Mac regularly.

Handaros Principles of Freedom aka Mac

Mac is a stunning red with white classic tabby male.  He is absolutely HUGE, weighing in at 5kg at 15 weeks! 

Mac was named after a book written by a distant relation of my families, Principles of Freedom by Terence MacSwiney, ex Lord Mayor of Cork, Ireland.

Purrbodys Legend of Indys x Coralcoon Silverisis of Handaros

Kittens born 10th October 2005

No in Litter = 8 (1 stillborn)

Weights = from 61g to 103g

Number of surviving kittens = 5

History = Issy had had one previous pregnancy and had reabsorbed those babies.  This time her pregnancy went swimmingly.  However, she was a nervous Mum for the first few days.  One of her babies was stillborn and one very very small small.  The little one died within a few hours.  Despite the fact that we had set up lots of hidey holes for Issy, she constantly moved her babies around.  Sadly, on the second day despite my two hourly obs, I found two under the bed.  I believe she had started to move her kittens and then forgotten.  One of the babies was dead the other very cold.   I sprung into action and the little one pulled through.  Once we got through the first week all went well and Issy settled down and enjoyed motherhood very much.

We named this litter after Robbie Williams songs, not to everyone's taste but we like him :-)

Angel is a very cuddly cat and loves nothing more than to be on a lap.

Eddie as he is called by his owners fell in love with my daughters Papillion Alfie and was always cuddled up to him.  Thank you to the Charnock family for giving him a lovely home.

Handaros She's The One

Phoebe is a lovely silver tabby with white girl.  Like Angel she has a very sweet purrsonality.   She has a wonderful loving home in the Peak District, where her every whim is catered for.

Handaros Robbie Williams

age 13 wks

Ramsay, along with brother Sid were the naughty siblings.  They played together all the time and constantly egged each other on.   He is now living in Hull with a lovely family where he is very spoilt.

Handaros Rock DJ

age 6 wks

Sid was nicknamed Fatman here because he never stopped eating and was like a little barrel.  He never seemed to slow down or stop running!  He now lives with Rachel and her family where he is adored and pampered. Thank you Rachel for all your updates of Sid.
